Lemongrass Grilled Pork Sandwich - $8

This is a very over the top Banh Mi style sandwich. Start with lemongrass grilled pork. Instead of a classic mayonnaise use truffle aioli. Not rich enough you say, lets just add some duck pate! Finish with all the classic Banh Mi ingredients, pickled carrots and daikon, This is a pretty rich and luxurious sandwich. I did notice my mouth got coated right away. Not sure if it was the pate or aioli doing that. There was lots of pork on mine. Nice thin sliced pickles and fresh cucumber. I personally would have liked more cilantro, but I like a lot of cilantro. The rolls themselves where very good, crispy and flaky. Synopsis: Not your classic cheap Banh Mi, but an interesting haute version.

Imperial Rolls - 4 for $5

A great version of the classic. Four thin and crispy and served fresh and hot. In a resturant you'll often get lots of greens and lettuce to eat with them, her you get a bit of lettuce and fresh cucumber. Classic fish sauce on the side. They rolls were filled with a lot of meat and were very satisfying. Synopsis: A great version and a great street food, even if you aren't at the palace today.

Gastro Punk Food Truck, Houston, TX - Suicide Burger
Suicide Burger - $13

A combination of all the meats on the truck; buffalo, venison, pork, and duck. As a kid we used to do the same with fountain drinks and mix everything together in one glass and call it a suicide. This is way better. Now top the burger with something like 4 strips of amazing bacon, caramelized onions, mango BBQ sauce, Swiss cheese, fried onion strings, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion. Try to contain that in a Challah bun. I ate some of the bacon on its own and its amazing and I wonder if its been candied. There is a sweet smoky flavor running through this I'm guessing is from the mango BBQ sauce. The fresh veggies help cut through all the richness of this colossus. The photo doesn't do justice to the size of this thing, that's a standard takeout box that can't contain it. It is a little messy to eat and I recommend using the "hunch" method to stay clean. Synopsis: This is simply one of the best burgers I've had in a while.

Perfeckcatch, Catfish Tacos w/slaw and Fries, Houston TX
Catfish Taco w/Slaw and Fries - $10

Two tacos, made with a flour tortilla toasted on the flat top. A catfish fillet and a sweat coleslaw make up the filling. The fillet was crispy and spiced nicely. I seemed to detect some sweet curry. The slaw is a sweet and slightly creamy. The dressing for the slaw was too runny though and made the bottom of the tacos soggy. Fresh pico-de-gallo is served on the side.

The fries are homemade, but don't stay crispy long. I'm a sucker for fresh fries and gobbled them up anyway. I never really trust food service fries. These are the real deal.

Synopsis: Fresh and made to order, just eat it quick while its at its best.
