This is a very over the top Banh Mi style sandwich. Start with lemongrass grilled pork. Instead of a classic mayonnaise use truffle aioli. Not rich enough you say, lets just add some duck pate! Finish with all the classic Banh Mi ingredients, pickled carrots and daikon, This is a pretty rich and luxurious sandwich. I did notice my mouth got coated right away. Not sure if it was the pate or aioli doing that. There was lots of pork on mine. Nice thin sliced pickles and fresh cucumber. I personally would have liked more cilantro, but I like a lot of cilantro. The rolls themselves where very good, crispy and flaky. Synopsis: Not your classic cheap Banh Mi, but an interesting haute version.
Imperial Rolls - 4 for $5
A great version of the classic. Four thin and crispy and served fresh and hot. In a resturant you'll often get lots of greens and lettuce to eat with them, her you get a bit of lettuce and fresh cucumber. Classic fish sauce on the side. They rolls were filled with a lot of meat and were very satisfying. Synopsis: A great version and a great street food, even if you aren't at the palace today.
